I’m fascinated with language, especially with the topic of translations. In 2023 I started to write down some german sayings that I found ridiculously funny to literally translate into english. Something that started messy on a piece of paper grew into a 30 day self assigned drawing plan.
I especially like the first left side of my sketchbook, where I randomly started to write down anything that popped into my head. That's why it's worth it to keep those sketchbooks. They will make you laugh if you look at them after some time.
I only reached 26 sayings as I was injured in between very badly at my eye. But a while after I redrew them again in Adobe Fresco. I quite like the outcome and was a very fun little project. I also have a fun product idea for them, which you will find later that year in my online shop.
