We try to have a date night night once a week. It doesn’t always happen, in fact, lately it hasn’t hardly happened. Instead we get random bits of time here and there to be together, alone, without kids and we take what we can get and I’m okay with that! Sometimes it’s a workout at the gym, dinner during our staycation or running errands together on the weekends. Tonight I texted Steve - dinner at PF Chang’s tonight? And he said - let’s do it! I was so excited. I love their food 🤷🏼‍♀️ and it’s also where our first “date” was 😂🙏🏼. We pulled up to the bar, had an awesome meal, laughed as usual and then walked around outside after and didn’t sweat to death. It was the perfect night. When we got home we realized it was the 10 year anniversary of our engagement! 😳 God has a funny way of reminding us sometimes that it really is about the small things and just good quality time together. This is what 10 years of engagement + marriage looks like and I love it ❤️. (Not to mention the 5 years of dating prior 😜) Babe, thanks for fighting for me, loving me, forgiving me and putting a ring on me. I’m taking some time to slow down these next couple days/weeks and just enjoy this pregnancy. With the move, transitioning from working full time to Momming full time, summer break, and nesting in our new house. Things have been CRAZY. The last month, for me and I’m guessing many others, is so so challenging for a ton of reasons. Everything feels difficult physically. My body hurts. It’s SO hot and humid outside. The kids are on summer break and driving me crazy. And the list goes on....But in the midst of it all, I’m so grateful and I don’t take this experience or this babe for granted. I know he has a purpose, not only in our family but in this world.

Trying to soak up alllll the date nights I can until baby boy arrives! We were able to sneak away while on our staycation to have dinner just the two of us. We ate amazing food, talked, laughed, discussed baby names and then ended the night with a movie in bed. I don’t care what we do, I just love being with him ❤️😍😘. .

Happy #4thofJuly Friends! Hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday. We decided to do a staycation at a fun resort with a water park and the kids LOVED it. We spent all day going back and forth between the water slides, lazy river, and playground. To top it off, we had front row seats to a spectacular fireworks show on the golf course! We left sun kissed, tired, and grateful! Kids said this was their favorite hotel stay yet and honestly it was probably ours too ❤️🙏🏼❤️. Happy Birthday America! 🗽🎆🇺🇸

#35weekspregnant /// Checked out a new museum today for the kids and it was a big hit! All inside and air conditioned for this tired, very pregnant Mama 😂. We saw otters, pet a snake, explored airplanes, dinosaurs, super hero exhibit, rode simulators to Mars and through the Everglades.....and more! This is my first summer EVER with my kids. 😳 I’ve always worked and they were always in camps or daycare all summer - so this is new for all of us. So far, I’m not losing my mind, so I’m staying positive. Lol. I’ve found if we try to leave the house mid morning and come home around 1, then the afternoon tends to fly by...What are you doing to keep your kids busy this summer? I’m all ears for any tips! 🙌🏼

Shopping for school uniforms today! It’s always a painful process to take the kids to shop but we made it through with minimal meltdowns and bribes. 😂😅 I’m trying to get ahead before baby boy comes and honestly, summer is flying by already. Does anyone else feel that way? Maybe it’s because I know July will be crazy busy with Cruz’s birthday, baby boy arrival, then Harper’s birthday, then school starts! It’s funny how life happens...I definitely didn’t plan to have my kids birthdays all within 10 days of each other, but that’s what it is! I’m looking forward to family vacations and Disney trips in the future to celebrate them all at once.
